On A Roll

 With organizing closets that is!! I am uber proud of myself, I have gone through both kiddos closets and pulled out all items that don't get any use, that are too small or just simply aren't wanted anymore :) I am pretty pleased with the results too!! I am pretty anal when it comes to the way the closets are organized, a tad OCD the sweets says!! I always have to have the hangers facing a certain way and the clothes have to be grouped a certain way too! It makes things so much easier when it comes to putting things away and finding things too! Little Misses closet was up first and it was amazing how much remained after I pulled everything out lol! Her eBay pile is a real good one! I figured I would have a good amount of left over hangers for back to school goodies, but nope looks like I will be purchasing some more lol! I need to get more of the pant hangers for her skirts which take up the two big bottom bins! For the most part though I am real pleased with how much better her closet looks now!! The boys was pretty simple too! Even though he is 12 I still go through and keep his organized too! There will be times that I let him do it, but I usually end up fixing some part! He doesn't share the same it's better organized

view that I do lol! It's time we get him some normal hangers too, my goodness how I HATE wire hangers!! There is a story behind that though lol! When he was younger he had a habit of just pulling the hanger to remove a shirt or pants, which would always end up breaking the hanger. After about a billions incidents and purchases I decided to use the left over wire hangers from The Sweets work uniforms. That way if he pulled them down,  it wouldn't break and I wouldn't be out more money. Not that hangers are spending or anything, but it got pretty annoying after a while lol! Now that he is older though and has grown out of that habit I think it's time to finally be rid of those pesky Mommy Dearest reminders lol lol!!
As for my other goals for the week I am doing pretty good actually!! Laundry is just about all caught up and tomorrow I seriously am going after that annoying ass basket of socks!! Menu planning has been started, the chore chart (well I have got a few of those ideas I need to look at on my Pinterest, and then make it!!). I think I am on the right track though!!

On A Roll

A little behind..

As you can see I didn't exactly get all my organization done yesterday, so I spent most of the morning after dropping Little Miss off at school cutting, sorting and making my piles. When they say its not a quick fast job, its no joke. It seriously takes a good amount of time sorting, cutting, organizing and filing these coupons. It's so well worth it though!! I'm so excited to make my lists of awesome deals for the week. Now that I'm learning new great ways to utilize all the coupons I've spent months clipping, it makes it even better. Hopefully I'll be back soon to show some scores!!

A little behind..

It's Chore Time

I have been following this awesome blogger I found a few months back, and today she shared this awesome website! The Boy has been asking for me to reinstate the good ol' chore chart and so I was going to work on that next week until I found out about this! So I signed up and started it for the kiddos. Rather than just having one reward for doing their chores, this site gives a nice mix. They can get smaller rewards such as an ice cream treat, being able to skip a chore, family game night or go for bigger rewards such as books or video games. You can choose how many points a chore is worth, when it can be done and a whole bunch of other neat options! While I would love to use my creative side and have something fun and neat for them to fill out, this just seems as fun and convenient as a homemade chore chart would. I think it may hold attention better too since they are able to get on the computer themselves, log what they have done and all that goodness :) 

Here is an example of The Boy's :) I am still working on adding more things the both of them can do to earn points and eventually build up to their awards. Of course right now he has more options than Little Miss does, but there is quite a difference in their ages.

Here is an example of what the rewards front page looks like. I love that it is called My Store, and I love that they have the option to save their points(which can be put in their savings accounts at the bank). 

 

Then lastly, here is the shots of both kiddos rewards they can receive.I am still working on adding more, but I just had to share real quick! This seems like such a neat and fun way to teach the kiddos the benefits of helping out around the house, making sure they keep up with good behavior and choices, and the rewards you can earn for completing your tasks :)

It's Chore Time

what's for dinner?

Whoo hoo, I got the menu all done today :) So there is one thing checked off my list of stuff to do this week. I was on the go all day almost today, so I wasn't able to tackle too much on there, but tomorrow is a new day and I am not going anywhere!! Though I think if I am going to get a good start I need to be getting myself to bed lol! I just got caught up in reading blogs and facebook and watching The Wonder Years and Doogie Howser M.D. I used to love love love both of these shows when I was younger, so I had to turn them on when I saw them on the show list! So I think I am going to finish up this last show, blog and get to sleep!! Here is to productive day ;)

what's for dinner?

Super Sunday

Well today was totally one of those laid back, not going no where, not doing anything super Sundays :) Which in all honestly gets me all ready for the busy productive week that I tell myself I am going to have lol! This week is going to be my organization week! I think each Sunday I am going to start making weekly goals, putting them down in blog form and make sure I complete them by the next Sunday :) It totally goes along with my conquest to get more organized and back on track! So here we go, here are my goals for the week of March 6th thru March 13th(which is Little Misses 5th birthday)!

•  Catch up on all my laundry
•  Organize Little Misses toy bins and closet in her room, well who amd I kidding, the whole room needs to attention lol
•  Plan out my meal calendar for the month of March( I usually have this done by now, but am a little behind)
•  Revamp my business card (while I love my original design, I am thinking I would like something different)
•  Make at least 2 new dinners this week. I have been mixing it up with the new and fun recipes, so I would like to continue with that each week :)
•  Deep clean the kitchen, to include...all cabinets and shelves reorganized(yes even you pesky under the kitchen sink), refrigerator and all the drawers as well!
•  Time to organize the bedroom while I am on a roll with organizing everything else!
•  Socks! Socks! Socks! This by far is the part I loathe most about laundry, so I must tackle the big basket of socks just waiting to be folded and put away! 

So there is my list so far for this week. There is more that I have to do which I am sure I will think about later on! So here is to my nice and productive week ahead!!
